 Boarding

The Animal Hospital of Worthington Annex offers climate controlled indoor boarding for dogs.  We have 42 runs, small and large sizes.  Because your pet's cleanliness and comfort are important to us, runs are cleaned and disinfected regularly, and a clean blanket is provided.  Twice daily feeding and fresh, clean water from automatic waterers, as well as a biscuit at bedtime, helps to maintain a "close to home" routine.   You may bring your dog's special diet with you or we can feed our Hill's Science Adult formula.

Various playtime packages are also available to suit your dog.  These range from four hours in daycare to individual play sessions with a kennel attendant.  We want your dog to enjoy their say with us as much as you enjoy your vacation!

It is important, for the safety of your pet, our staff, and the other pets boarding with us, all vaccinations must be current.  We require DHP (Distemper/Parvo), Rabies, and Boradatella (kennel cough).  Please call the Hospital to schedule an appointment for any overdue vaccinations, or bring proof of current vaccinations when you drop off your Dog.

We will also perform a flea check during the admitting appointment.  If any sign of fleas are found, we will give Capstar and apply Frontline Plus or Revolution at the owner's expense.

All pets in our care are monitored daily for eating, drinking, and elimination.  Should your pet appear to need medical assistance, we will attempt to contact you for further instructions.  If needed, emergency veterinary care will be provided by the hospital.  All medical expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner.

We will administer any medications or vitamins brought from home.  Medications are administered as prescribed, for a fee.  Special cases (i.e. diabetic) may be boarded at the Hospital for constant observation.

Recommendations/Considerations:

Many pets become very excited when they go home home from boarding and will overeat or drink excessive amounts of water.  Limiting food and water upon your pet's arrival may prevent an upset stomach or diarrhea.

We are not responsible for special items left at the Annex (beds, toys, chews).  All items should be labeled to insure their return, but due to shifting of items for cleaning, we cannot always guarantee their return.  Please do not bring anything to the kennel that is irreplaceable.
